Skis Types

For a beginning park skier, what type of skis are recommended and how much should I invest?

I am a snow skier who has recently discovered the terrain park and taken a liking to it very much. My budget is not limitless but has room for a decent pair of skis. I still would like to be able to ski the steep slopes with control. Given this, I was wondering what types of skis would provide a good balance between mountain and terrain?

Find a decent pair of twin tips. I personally think Line (look at the Anthems as a starting point) makes some great mix skis these days. Armada is another brand I would look into. You want a ski that is light with a symmetrical shape (for riding switch) and that can take a beating. park skis tend to break more than all mountain skis so don’t break the bank buying a $1K set-up.
