How high should skis be on you?
I’m just wondering if you stand beside your skis how tall they should be?
And if they barely reach your chin is that too short? or should theys till be fine?
By the way I mean like down-hill snow skis, for a casual skier.
I’m also 150 pounds and about 5’9ish
Depends on your weight too. Someone who is average weight for their height can use the following rule of thumb: Your height in centimeters minus 10-15cm should give you the correct size…roughly. I weigh considerably more than a BMI Index chart says I should, so I normally ski on skis exactly my height.
Every ski has a weight chart based on the dimensions of the ski, the materials in the ski, and the intended use. Someone who weighs 150#s may find two skis from different companies perform totally different even if they are the same length.
