went skiing & still cant feel my toes!!?
?
okay… yesterday we went to new york to ski. & i had about 4 pairs of socks on each foot. we started skiing around 9 or 10 am & we didnt leave till 10:30. the bad thing is, i never took my boots off the whole time & on the way home (i took them off) they were tingly for the whole 4 hour ride home. this morning, i woke up around 10:30 & their still really numb & tingly. i cant still feel them & walk & stuff, but im just really nervous… does anyone have any suggestions on what i should do? or anyone know maybe whats wrong?? thanks
If you had frostbite, you would lose feeling or feel extreme pain, and your toes would be purple turning to black. I suspect you compressed your feet buy wearing way too many socks and cut off circulation to your toes. The fact that you were able to wear so many layers under your boots makes me suspect that your boots are too big; perhaps your feet were sliding forward and got mashed against the front of the boot?
If this continues beyond today, I think giving your doctor a call is a good idea. He/she might send you to a podiatrist for an exam. Next time, wear one layer of silk sock liners, and one pair of wool ski socks. If your boots fit right, you really shouldn’t be able to move your foot around inside the boot, just like wearing in-line skates.
