How can I stop taking cold while skiing? i "bundle up" well but I'm always cold.?
I normally wear: a these masks that covers your head, ears, mouth and part of your nose and head over. Columbia jacket with lining inside and a sweater. snow pants. not overalls. 100g insulated gloves (my hands sweat in them. is only part of the problem). ski socks, mainly wool socks and boots.
There is no one surefire way to stay warm that works for everyone. There are several factors that contribute to heat a person stays cold. metabolism, body type, activity level, what you eat, hydration, and what you wear all help to get hot, you stay. I think you can be a bit overdressed. You did not mention the base layers. Wicking Synthetic or wool long underwear is an essential piece of gear for most skiers. Is this your jersey cotton, wool or synthetic? A cotton sweater is nothing more than a piece of fashion. Wool or blended wool sweater would be a better option. Is this your own material? Dirt, sweat, and oil will accumulate in tissues and make them less effective. I almost never wear a mask. It's gotta be really cold for me to wear one. Normally, I just wear my helmet. How do you ski aggressive? Cruisning fair is about fun, but not burn the calories do not ski aggressively .. So, you will not also hot. Similarly, aggressive skiing makes you sweat and makes you thirsty. This could lead to a lot of things. First, if you sweat and wet clothes stand next to your skin, you lose body heat. Second, even if you're not thirsty, you're probably dehydrated. Wilthout the water metabolism starts to slow down so you do not burn calories. Maybe you do not have to burn calories? Eat something. Nuts, fruits, energy bars .. all good things. Eat something like soup or hot oatmeal. How often are you, skiing when the snow falls, wet or otherwise? Did you immediately brush snow off your clothes? You want to stay dry. Also, if you do not brush the snow right now, how fast does it tale to melt? If you snowmelt and not your taste, you lose heat by lack insulation. Way too many factors here to Y! Answers. Try to eliminate some of the opportunities and work from there. Good Luck!
