Need some info about Queenstown weather.?
I am going to Queenstown on July 25th for 10 days but I wanted some Information on the weather there. I have never been to New Zealand or anywhere that snows before and am really excited, I wanted to know what the chances are that the snow will be falling while I’m there instead of snow just on the ground. I can’t imagine anything better then walking through Queenstown while the snow is falling!!
Also I haven’t booked a hotel/resort yet and would like to know if anyone has any suggestions. I would like somewhere close to the ski areas but also not to far away from the town (I have never been so am not sure how far anything is from everything else) but I have heard that if you stay in Queenstown they have free shuttles from the hotels to the ski sites, is this true?
Any other info on Queenstown and things to do there during this period would be great too!
Thanks

It’s many years ago I was in Queenstown and loved it. I believe it’s a lot more touristy now. If it doesn’t snow down on the town then you are more likely to see snow falling when you are on the Mountains . Listen for the forcast when you are there. If they say snow to fall on the mountains then get up there early in the morning that’s when you may see it but really as you know weather can be unpredictable but the weather forcasts are fairly accurate. There will be shuttles up the mountain . Ask your hotel.
